My Discord server is currently located here.
I enforce Discord's TOS on my Discord servers. I do not allow people to advocate for violence, et cetera. However, Discord is run by people who tend to delete entire servers for frivolous, politically-motivated reasons regardless of whether you're following their TOS or not. This page will serve as a sort of modified "canary" to let people know the current status of the chat services.
My Discord servers have not been censored or banned yet. If they are, a notice will be posted on this page, and shortly after that, an alternative. I am currently looking into self-hosting a Revolt server as a long term solution to the potential censorship problem. Feel free to email me with other ideas. Current ideas are:
- Revolt (still in its infancy but apparently a decent alternative to Discord)
- Element/matrix/riot/whatever it's called these days (unfortunately I hate the UI and the way the rooms work)
- Self-hostedXMPP/"Jabber" server (boomer-tier but reliable, very low tech, no voice calling afaik, etc)
